Who uses open source software?
Virtually everyone uses open source software. The obvious users are those who run Linux on their desktop instead of Windows, or the companies who run Linux on their servers, instead of Windows or Unix. And the number of users who do run Linux on the desktop or server is significant, and growing quickly. Beyond the obvious users though, is everyone else: those who surf web sites that are served up by Apache web servers ( the dominant web server worldwide ). The point being that open source software is used all over the world, either directly or as packaged into commercial software.
